About Us

What Do We Do?

 

Here at Enabled Art we offer a wide range of creative activities, which include:

  • Painting with Oils, Acrylics and Watercolours.
  • Glass painting.
  • Drawing.
  • Rug Making.
  • Mosaics.
  • Collage Work.
  • Sculpture.
  • Costume Making.
  • Card Making.
  • Tapestry.
  • Soft Toy Making.
  • Weaving.
  • Model Making.

 

If these activities do not suit you or you have an activity you wish to try, we will do our best to facilitate you and your ideas.

All this is complimented with individual care plans, whether you need personal care or just someone to listen to you.  We do our best to make your time here as comfortable and happy as possible.

 

Care Facilities

 

We have use of an accessible toilet and our own hoist. If you need the use of a hoist we would ask that you bring your own sling.

 

How Much Does It Cost?

 

If you are paying from your own pocket the fee is a mere £6.10 per hour and you pay as you go, for example, if you spend two hours with us on any given day, then the cost will be £12.20, it’s as simple as that.

Alternatively your Care Manager or Social Worker may refer you to Social Services for Direct Payments which may fund your time at Enabled Art, and if you are successful in obtaining funding it may cover transport to and from Enabled Art.  We use the yellow cabs, so if you are a wheelchair user there is plenty of space and ramps into the cabs.

 

What Are You Paying For?

 

The fee covers art tuition, care assistance and all materials.  If you require a midday meal this is available at a small cost of just £3.00 for two courses.  Tea and coffee are available throughout the day at 35p a cup.  There are also cold drinks, crisps and biscuits available for a small cost.  Alternatively you are welcome to bring your own lunch.

 

What To Do Next

 

We offer a free, 3 hour, taster session.  So if you wish to find out what we do, why not book a taster session.  We do not provide transport for these sessions.
